Biographie
Born in Saguenay, Quebec, Janick Laberge has been a doctor and multidisciplinary artist for nearly thirty years. She lives and works in Quebec City. In addition to her doctorate in medicine, she earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in visual arts from Laval University. In 2004, she took part in a graduate internship at the "École nationale supérieure des Beaux-arts" in Paris. She has participated in several solo and group exhibitions in Quebec, the United States, France, Belgium, Spain, Holland, England, China (Shanghai Art Fair 2010), Japan, (Tokyo Metropolitan Theater, summer 2018), Romania, Italy, Switzerland, Germany (Art Basel) and Russia.
In addition to her artistic work, she practiced family medicine for more than twenty years. She now acts as a speaker in health promotion and prevention of physical and psychological illnesses. Since January 2018, she has been working in the field of medical expertise.
So the influences of the medical world, his passion for the human body and life in all its forms is everywhere omnipresent in his artistic work.
In 2010, she collaborated on a daily multidisciplinary event with the artists "The 7 Fingers of the Hand" at the Vancouver Olympics.
Her work has been rewarded with several awards and mentions at home and abroad.

Elle possède un complément de formation universitaire en création littéraire et compte déjà dix titres à son actif, dont son premier roman qui fut traduit en langue anglaise.
Notez que chacun de ses projets est associé à une cause caritative, notamment la Fondation CERVO, pour la recherche, l’enseignement et les soins en santé mentale, la Fédération canadienne de la Faune, la Fondation pour l'alphabétisation et Médecins sans frontières.
Pour Janick Laberge, l'équilibre du corps et de l'esprit passe par le contact avec la nature, une saine alimentation, l'effort physique et la créativité.
